TAC is becoming Schneider Electric

Message from Chris Curtis, President & CEO TAC

I’m excited to announce that TAC will complete its migration to Schneider Electric embracing the Schneider Electric logo and name on October 1, 2009.

TAC has been a part of Schneider Electric since 2003 and now the time has come for TAC to be the Buildings Business within Schneider Electric.

This decision is based on feedback from customers. At TAC and Schneider Electric, we take pride in listening to our customers, and the message has been quite clear: our unique opportunity is within “energy management,” but we are “too disjointed” to deliver on this opportunity. The conclusion to draw on this feedback was obvious: create “One company.”

TAC will be a foundational cornerstone within Schneider Electric focusing on energy management and security in buildings. The new role is recognition of TAC’s strong achievements in the energy, security and solutions arenas. Our proven capability is central to Schneider Electric achieving its mission, “We help people make the most of their energy.”

Most importantly, the change allows us to provide a unique convergent offer drawing on all of Schneider Electric’s main business areas: Industry, IT, Power and Buildings. Our aim is to make it simple to do business with us by having one interface and to reveal solutions that help manage buildings more efficiently so our customers can operate their businesses more successfully.

I have three important messages I want to emphasize in relation to these changes:

  • The people at TAC you deal with today will be the same people you deal with when we are Schneider Electric.
  • TAC’s products, solutions and services will continue to be marketed to the appropriate markets.
  • We now have access to the broad range of products and solutions from all of Schneider Electric and can deliver them in a more seamless manner.

This is more than just a name change; this is a new way of approaching our business and our customers’ needs at a time when financial and natural resources are increasingly scarce.
