  • Features

    PowerPact® H- and J-frame Electronic Motor Circuit Protectors (MCP) are instantaneous-trip circuit breakers designed to offer motor short circuit protection. These are NEC® compliant when installed as part of a combination controller having motor overload protection. They offer simple solutions that deliver more reliable start-ups, provide better protection of equipment and adjust for a wide range of motor starters.



    Key Features
    • MCPs are available in frame sizes 30-250A with full load ampere (FLA) ranges from 1.5-217A at up to 600 Vac
    • Just five MCPs cover the complete motor range from ½ hp to 200 hp at 480V and can be used with NEMA size 00 to 5 starters
    • Deliver high SCCR (J-65kA, L-100kA at 480Vac) when used in combination with Square D® NEMA Type S Starter or TeSys D-line or F-line contactors
    • Uniquely designed with two dials
      • Dial 1 to allow FLA adjustment across the range of the frame size
      • Dial 2 selects the type of motor protection – Auto 1 for standard efficiency, Auto 2 for high Energy Efficient motors. Dial 2 also allows for traditional manual motor protection from 6 to 13 times the selected FLA
    • Typical accuracy range of +/- 5%
    • Extensive selection of snap-in field installable accessories and terminals same as the equivalent thermal magnetic circuit breaker
    • Available in unit mount and I-line constructions
    • UL Recognized, CSA, IEC, NOM certified, CCC and CE marked
